1. 1. Scope & Data Fiduciary Details

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (Act No. 22 of 2023), JangamaVariPelli.com acts as a "Data Fiduciary" for members of the Veerashaiva Jangama community. Any registered user or verified candidate is recognized as a "Data Principal".

2. 2. Categories of Personal Data Collected

We collect and process only the minimal personal data necessary for matrimonial introductions:

  • Identity Information: Full name, gender, date of birth, physical height, photographs.
  • Community & Lineage Data: Gotra (Renuka, Daruka, Ekorama, Panditaradhya, Vishwaradhya), Sub-sect, Lingadharana practice, affiliated Peetham.
  • Contact Data: Mobile number, email address, residential city, parents' contact details.
  • Educational & Professional Data: Highest educational degree, occupation, company, annual income range.
  • Verification Proofs (Optional/Requested): Masked Government ID copy (Aadhaar/Passport) and Lingadharana photograph.

3. 3. Consent Mechanism & Purpose Limitation (Section 5 & 6)

Under Sections 5 and 6 of the DPDP Act 2023, data processing occurs exclusively on the basis of free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent given by the Data Principal at registration. All data is processed strictly for matrimonial compatibility, horoscope alignment, and facilitating family connections.

4. 4. Rights of Data Principals under DPDP Act 2023

1. Right to Access Information (Section 11):
You have the right to view a complete summary of your personal data stored on the portal.
2. Right to Correction and Erasure (Section 12):
You can update inaccurate data or request complete permanent deletion of your profile upon marriage.
3. Right to Grievance Redressal (Section 13):
You have the right to readily accessible grievance redressal through our designated Grievance Officer.
4. Right to Nominate (Section 14):
You have the right to nominate a family representative (e.g. parent) to manage your profile.

5. 5. Protection of Minors (Section 9 Compliance)

Under Section 9 of the DPDP Act and the Hindu Marriage Act, registration on JangamaVariPelli.com is strictly restricted to individuals who have attained legal marriageable age in India (18+ for females, 21+ for males). Creation of child profiles is strictly prohibited.
